The best way to predict the future is to create it.
– Abraham Lincoln

Most of us, if given the opportunity, would like to leave a lasting legacy to show that our lives have made a difference; that in some way we have contributed to important work or a cause that will benefit the lives of others for generations to come.

Through a variety of gift planning options, the LLCC Foundation can be a resource for you when developing bequests or selecting the best giving instrument, especially in support of education across our service area encompassing all or part of 15 counties. Gift planning through the LLCC Foundation can be an investment in not only education, but in the future of our communities.

  • Gifts of Grain - See Guidelines for Gifts of Grain - A donor should always consult with their tax preparer to determine the tax implication prior to making a gift. The following is not to be construed as specific tax advice. These are guidelines to assist in making charitable gifts of agricultural commodities. The farmer also needs to complete the Gifts of Grain Notification Form.
  • Life Insurance - make the LLCC Foundation the full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy. It is an easy way to make a major gift with possible tax benefits during your lifetime.
  • Charitable Trusts - Charitable trusts are an option for donors who wish to make a current or deferred gift but are concerned about preserving income from the asset. Charitable trusts can provide donors with regular cash payments, current charitable income tax deduction, and avoidance or reduction of estate taxes. Giving through such arrangements can be a meaningful way to combine your philanthropic goals with your financial and tax-planning needs. Charitable trusts are set up through an outside advisor such as through a trust department of a bank. Please let the LLCC Foundation know if you have included us as a beneficiary of a trust agreement so we may recognize your gift appropriately.
  • IRA’s and Retirement Assets - Naming the LLCC Foundation as a beneficiary of your retirement account — 401(k) or IRA — is an easy way to make a significant, lasting gift that may not be possible during your lifetime. It's easy and there is no need to modify your will or estate plan.?
